additional hard disk in PC

I bought a new hard disk for backup purpose. I want to clone my present hard disk to the new hard disk for backup.

WHat are the steps required to do this? I’m thinking of using Powerquest Drive Image 2002 to clone the hard disk. Is that a goodsoftware?
