Administer rights to a shared printer

I have a Windows 2000 PC desktop operating on an NT/Novell network. I am the manager in my department and I share a printer with my statf. They have Windows for NT on their desktops. Presently we can each control our print jobs through the printer que. We can see the other jobs in the que but do not have the rights to the other jobs. I have asked our helpdesk if they could assign me be rights to adminster other jobs when needed. They have not yet been able to determine how to do this in our current network environment. Where can this information be located.
