Administrarive Install

by dirv9 . Updated 17 years, 6 months ago

Hi! I’m trying to do an Administrarive install of office XP. My DC is a windows 2003 enterprise edition server. I’ve setup the shared file—Office under rhe Packages directory. I’m installing on a computer running XP Pro SP2. I logged on to the XP computer using the domain administrator account. I click on run, type in e:\setup /a. The office setup page appears. I type in an org name, then the network location of the shared folder—\\bigdog.bigfirm.biz\Packages\Office, then put in the license key. I click next and a message box pops up:

Error 1315. Setup cannot write to the folder
\\bigdog.bigfrim.biz\Packages\Office\ Verify that the folder exists in
your sylstem and that you have sufficient permissions to update it.

I’m the Administrator—member of Administrators, Domain Administrators, Domain Users, Enterprise Administrators, Group Policy Creator, Schema Administrator—the big cheese as it were. How can I not have permission to do this? What do I need to do? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
