ADSL and LEGACY

I hear that it is possible to setup ADSL to connect to an AS/400 on a B-Class LAN and C-CLass WAN using static IP’s. My problem stems from the fact that I have never configured anything of this nature. Any hints, suggestions or direction from out there would really be appreciated!!!
