AGP with out windows

My GeForce MMX 64MB 4x AGP card will not work, my primary settings in CMOS are AGP 4x but when I put it in and turn on the computer i just get beeps and no video, is there a way to load drivers to c with out windows? Because I think this is why my windows installation is locking up(when i use a pci card). Thanks
