I have an idea for an online rental business
I created a movie rental system using php/mysql
The system can work with any virtual world
Obviously i would only set this up in worlds
that have fully implemented their own virtual
economy that can be exchanged for real cash
The end users can walk up to the movie vendor
Use arrows to browse through different movies
Browse through different categories of vendors
Right click a vendor to purchase choosen movie
Take home, setup & watch on a virtual screens
It’s no different than running it from a
shopping cart system on a web site, cept..
I’m using virtual reality as my 3d shooping system
And i believe the market is there
The idea has been tested and i believe it is
secure in the distribution of the movie URL’s
The URL’s don’t show where the media is stored
They will expire on a date set by the owner/me
The URL’s can’t be shared with other users
So it’s a very nice system and works for me
My problem is i know there’s a market for this
It’s not the same as advertising your products
on a web site, instead you’re marketing your
services to a fast growing virtual community
Many have their own virtual economy now and
this is a oppertunity to use their resources
to make some real money for your 3d creations
Well i’m wondering, as this is basically an
online rental service, where do i go to get
my content, who distributes movies, or how
do i get a license to distribute movie URL’s
from a secure server,
How do i go about turning my idea into a legal
service simular to how netflix rent movie urls
I’m unemployed, this is something i’d like to
work on, just don’t know how to make it happen
