Android phone lagging after update — any fix?

Hi everyone,
After the latest update, my Android smartphone has become very slow and apps lag a lot. I already restarted the device and cleared some storage, but it hasn’t helped.

What else can I do to improve performance? Should I try a factory reset, or is this a common software issue?
