animation to manage a telecommunication Network

I would like to hear from anyone who are using applications to create an interactive, animated view of a SDH Telcom network. SDH networks provided configurational information which can be converted to drive graphical shape attributes (hence the animation). Services can be traced throughout the network with guaranteed accuracy, any comments.
