Anti-Virus programmes/software

1.Can I have two Anti virus softwares say ‘Macafee’ and ‘Kaspersky’ loaded on one desktop/laptop? Is that going to create a problem?
2. What is difference between ‘Registry Mechanic’ of PC Tools and Antivirus software, say ‘Macafee’/’Kaspersky?’
