Any problm if I use laptop with battery removed & connected to charger only

hi, i want to make my battery life long by using it less. As i use my laptop very much, so i generally remove its battery and use it by connecting the charger. So i want to ask that is there any problem in doing so? will it going to effect my laptop performance or its life?
or any other harmful effect?

laptop is dell vostro 1550.
mad in china
battery is “2580Samsung SDIDELL JXFRP25”.
I started doing this since last 2 days only.
