My fianc?e has been having a lot of trouble with her computer. Only recently, it was wiped of a lot of nasty viruses and bugs and has fortunately been restored to the way it was before.
However, today, openCanvas 4.5E Plus, a graphics program she uses for her job as an artist and Skype, which we often use to talk when we’re not together, suddenly stopped working.
To be specific:
?Both applications will boot up initially, but stop working after a couple of seconds.
?They do not just disappear, but aren’t shown in Windows TaskManager either. They shut down completely.
?Neither of the applications open anymore once they’ve shut down. Although openCanvas opens when a file with the “.oci” extension (openCanvas-specific file) is opened, but it shuts down again after the same amount of time.
Another possibly helpful detail is that the computer runs Windows XP. My fianc?e has also already tried everything on this page, but it hasn’t done anything.
We would love if someone can figure out what’s wrong, because the fact that openCanvas doesn’t work concerns my fianc?e’s job and is quite upsetting.
-Edit- Also, at random times the computer now shuts down and starts rebooting itself on its own.
