Arcserve 6 and Pervasive 9.5

We have just upgraded our Pervasive SQL to 9.5 and we are running Arcserve 6 on our Novell 6.5 server as our backup program. It won’t start. Is there a work around to get the Arcserve to run. Aparently it does not like Pervasive 9.5
