Arcserve 6.6 Woes

Ri\unning Arcserve 6.6 Enterprise ed. on NW 5.1 Server. Current svc paks for NW and Arcserve. Arcserve hangs everytime when initializing the tape changer. It initializes the first few slots, but then hangs on slot 3 or 4. Has anyone experienced the same/similar problems? Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. CA Support has been fairly useless. THanks in advance.
