I know this is a dumb question,
If I disable dynamic ARP and use static ARP for all addresses on my network (when I can do this; since some addresses must be dynamically assigned sometimes on some ports, this will be tough to do) will all my off-network stuff (which I obviously will not have configured the addresses for statically) automatically go to my default gateway?? This includes traffic bound for the DNS server (I’ll have one inside for my network but . . . if I have ARP disabled, will it work? will it be useful? You’ll have to have the MAC to communicate with my network unless I can have a proxy do everything . . . )
