Artisoft iShare

I have iShare installed and when I am at the client I turned off iShare. I just tried a trick: I enabled the Internet Connection Wizard and connected the LAN. With the iShare off at the client and the LAN Internet enabled it still works.

Is there a security and/or continuity problem with this kind of configuration?
