ASPI trouble

Hi,
I’ve the following problem with cd-rom and and cd-rw on users computer. The user deleted the ASPI folder and now none of the above works. I’ve installed sp4 for win2000, aspi-layer from adaptec. Update for easy-creator5. Unistalled the cd-rom and cd-rw. The computer finds the hardware and says it has installed new hardware on startup. But they won’t work. What to do next?? Reinstall win2000?? Please help!
