asus A7V133-C motherboard and xp 2000+

can someone give me a quick lesson on motherboards…? i’m looking to buy a mb/cpu combo on pricewatch.. but a few vendors packaged the asus A7V133-C mb with the athlon xp 2000+ … but on the asus website, this is what can be used on the motherboard.. “Socket A for AMD? Athlon™ / Duron™ 550MHz ~ 1.3GHz+ CPU The A7V133-C is based on VIA? KT133A chipset in ATX form factor for the latest support in AMD? Thunderbird™ / Duron™ 550MHz ~ 1.3GHz+ processors.” Almost seems like it’s not made to be use with a xp2000+
or is this okay?
