ASUS Bare Bone System – Bios Locks Up

I recently purchased an ASUS bare bone Terminator 7 system, installed the RAM, hard drive and an AMD Athlon 750 processor. The systems bios boots up, then locksup and then shuts down. Any ideas on the cause? I am starting to think the mother board might be bad. I have built a few systems like this and this is the first to give me any trouble when being assembled.
