Automating VPN connection

I currently have a Windows 2000 remote access server, with 30 Windows NT workstations all in remote locations and with DSL connections. They currently connect manually to the VPN, so that they can copy over that partiuclar day’s logs to a designated folder on the remote access server. I was hoping someone would know how I could setup the server and workstations to autmatically make that connection in intervals of 30 minutes, once a day at 2:00 AM. This way, I would be able to cut out the having to use a person to manually connect and copy files over. Any assisstance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
