Autoruns – My PC automatically reboot itself

I want to particularly erase a virus and some malware entries in my PC but each time I open the autoruns.exe in Autoruns software (By Sysinternals), the Autoruns box will appear for a while, then my PC will reboot by itself. Are the virus/malware smart enough to prevent Autoruns from functioning…What shall I do to prevent this (rebooting)…I am at my wits end PLEASE HELP
