availibility of vpn-connections

To manage vpn-connections it is necessary to know
if the users in the remote offices can really work with their application. It doesn’t help to know that my gateway to the internet is working. It’s neccessary to control the availibility and the performance of the connection from the
server to the remote user.

How do I manage this?
