Backing up oracle 7 with ARCSERVE IT

Username submitting job to backup queue fails to attach to the oracle database server on a Netware 4.11 server. get message “Attaching to CI25S04” and hangs at that point. Never attaches. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
