Backup Exec 7 job doesn’t run automatica

I am having a problem on a NW 4.10 box running Backup Exec 7 where the job’s don’t continually run each night. I have to either shut down and start back up the job engine or BE itself before the scheduled job will take off again. Has anyone ever seen this type of behavior from BE? I can’t get support from Veritas anymore since BE is so old so I’m hoping someone has seen this before.
