Backup Exec 8.0

I need to backup my email server and am confused on what I need to buy or configure to do this. I presently have a Netware 5.0 file server I backup daily running Backup Exec 8.0 single server version. I have contacted Vertas software and they havestated I need to purchase the Corporate copy of Backup Exec 8.5 license server combo 1 year. Is there any other way to configure my backup job to backup another server (GroupWise 5.5)like a remote agent? The corporate version is expensive for just 2 servers. $600.
