Backup Exec 8.5 & Windows 2000 Server

After installing SR2 for Windows 2000 server Backup exec failes to connect to the server “Connection with server failed” Backup exec worked fine up until SR2 was installed. We tested this on two Intell 5000 raid servers both did the same. Servers are running the Intell STL2 server board, and the Seagate 24Gig DDS backup drive connected to the onboard scsi controller, we are using the Intel SRCU31L Raid contoller. The only way we can get Backup Exec to work again is to format and re-load.
