Backup tapes

Hi,

I am taking the backup on HP Ultrium data cartridge to take the data backup.

In statistics of HP Cartridge has showing mounts are 65 and seeks are 523.

Can any one let me know that is the lifetime of the cartridge is depends on mounts and seeks?
