Bad Superblock

When i try to mount my windows partion under linux i get an error message telling me that i have a bad superblock or to may file systems are mounted.

The system will boot into windows without any problems but ui just can’t get at the data from linux.

Is there a fault with my hard disk, i have just perchased a new 15Gb disk to install but am putting it off untill i’m sure that its the hard disk and not some thing else.
