Basic Microsoft questions

I have a client running MS SBS 2003. They want to serve a basic web site for the general public. I understand that with SBS this is not wise as it is a security risk.
Is there a work around for this?
Or do i need another server?

Can you use 2003 Server standard as a web host?
Or is it only Web Server Edition and Enterprise?

I understand these are basic questions but finding it hard source an answer.
Is there any good sites you can recommend?
