Bcs in computer science worth it for employment ?

Is doing a Bcs in computer science worth it if I go the performance based entry route and try to land a job in IT support for a year and use that experience as an entry point ? I’m not strong academically because I moved countries in the middle of my exams and so I was wondering if I can go the performance route and if I land a job in IT support for a year would the BCs still be valuable years down the line as it would take 3-5 years to complete on a part time study or should I just continue perusing certs to increase employment sucess ?
