Belkin Wireless G Desktop Nework Card not detected by Windows XP

Has anybody had problems with Windows XP (SP2) not being able to detect a Belkin Wireless G Network Card?

I had it successfully installed and it was appearing under Network adapters in the Device Manager. Now when I restart the PC it is no longer appearing in the Device Manager and of course I cannot connect to the internet. Earlier in the week I had the same problem and tried to reinstall the drivers with no luck. Then the next day it mysteriously seemed to be working again.

If anybody has seen something similar to this or knows of similar problems I would be very interested to hear and to know if there is a way to resolve this. I am wondering if it could be due to a virus.
