Belkin Wireless Router F5D7230uk4 Problem with “Virtual Servers” setup

by freddy . Updated 17 years, 2 months ago

Hi,

I have a Belkin Wireless router (F5D7230uk4) connected to a D-link DSL modem with a static IP.

The router has a function for port mapping/port forwarding from outside to inside LAN that Belkin call “Virtual Servers”.

Does anyone know if this function really work on this kind of router. Iv’e tried opening different ports without any result – nothing happens.

I’ve also connected the computer running the FTP-server directly to the DSL-modem (with no FW at all) and the it works fine accessing with FTP.

I’ve also tried the DMZ function on the router that should put the FTP-server unprotetected directly on the internet – but with no result!

I seems like the port forwarding simple does nothing!

Anyone that has a solution or experince of this?

Br
Freddy
