Benefit of Having 2 Connected Mobile Apps for Companies Like Uber/Lyft Etc

For apps like Uber, Lyft, Door Dash, Etc…Apps with a Service Provider and End User. I was curios to know what the pros and cons were of having separate apps for the driver and the passenger. Why not just have a toggle to switch between driver mode and passenger mode on ? I have been trying to get a detailed answered on this for a while but no one has been able to get me something that makes sense.
