Best Search Engine

You know how you do strange things when you are tired of fixing computers……. I decided to search Google for “Search Engine” ……… I thought Google was pretty good, I try to optimize web sites for Google, I try to follow their suggestions. But, when I searched today, Google only managed to appear at number 20 (and that was Google UK).

The same search with Yahoo, brings up Yahoo. Live Search brings up Google.

Does the apparent lack of 2 out of the big three engines finding their own sites suggest they aren’t that good or are they actually better because they already exclude the site you know about?

If this is my biggest problem today, then I am going to have a great day!
