I’ve seen various configurations for the above, but the additional piece I’m not sure about is the wireless router part.
Here’s what I have:
SBS 2003 Premium with ISA 2004 server
2 nics
Cable internet connection with 1 static IP
wireless router (DHCP disabled so server handles DHCP duties)
I’m setting-up a small business network here, and want to use the equipment above.
The question I have is, should I put the wireless router between the SBS server and the cable modem, or should the SBS server connect directly to the cable modem?
From what I’ve read online, it seems like the router should be between the cable modem and the server. My question with this configuration, though, is how should I handle the wireless users? Does it matter that they have the benefits of the ISA firewall? Can they still join the domain and us have a secure experience?
