Best way to make the transition?

I have about 10 years experience in the IT field with just a little bit of “hands on” experience. Most of my experience is in Business Development and working with engineers and consultants to design solutions for customers.

With this said I would like to transition into a fully technical role so I can round out my resume (1) and (2) – this is where my real passion lies. I hold 4 industry certifications (Microsoft and CompTIA) and an working on my MCTS. I am also pursuing a computer science degree on top of everything else.

Any tips on how to word my resume and/or make the transition would be greatly appreciated.
