bi-directional printing

Message on three machines, two Vista Home premium and one XP Pro.
1. error message “active directory domain services unavailable” Now what the blip does that mean, where did it come from and how do you get rid of it.
2. windows validating my computers as valid, yet stating they are not genuine windows copies.

What the blip is this Microsoft nonsense……
