Hi,
Everytime i start my computer, my laptop stops on the first screen and asks F2 to Run cmos or F1 to continue. When i press F2 it asks for password. I think this is a virus, because i never had set a password on my Bios. As i faced this problem again and again, i reinstalled Windows xp, after which the boot up was normal. But the problem started again after 5-6 days. So i think it is a virus. I believe if i update my Bios this problem will get rectified.
Also even when i am shutting down my computer, the computer stops at “Windows is Saving your settings” screen. So i need to everytime hold Power button for 5 seconds to shutdown. Here is the configuration i am using.
Computer type: Laptop
Model : HCL T12Rg-H
Processor: Intel(R) CPT T1230 @ 1.86GHz(2CPUs)
Memory: 1gb.
