Blaster worm trouble

I am working on a persons computer infected with blaster. OS is XP, firewall on, Installed norton internet security and turned on norton firewall. changed settings for Remote Call Procedure and removed virus with symantec tool, but still unable to connect to internet. Connection is through NIC (via broadband wireless)and led on Nic is blinking rapidly. Internet setting appear to be correct. Any help would be appreciated.
