Bloated Exchange Backup using NTBACKUP

by xained . Updated 17 years, 5 months ago

Hi,

Recently we upgraded the server at one of our clients, increased HDD, added a cpu, more RAM etc. I had to change the location of the backups for the exchange so i edited its run-time command.

Before this happened the exchange was backing up a couple GB a day, nothing to be too concerned with and I’d purge the old backups every other month. Now with the change the exchange is backing up at 24GBs a time, and I’m rapidly running out of space while i try figure out what went wrong!

I’ve included the runtime command please have a look and let me know what on earth I did wrong!

Thanks
M
