Bloodhound.exploit.45 Symantec won’t remove for free

Symantec 2007 won’t remove Bloodhound.exploit.45 for free.

After 20 minutes on a tech chat I’m told that the .doc file that Norton Internet Security detected as having a problem with Bloodhound.exploit.45 can, for a fee, be removed remotely by a Symantec tech. This process will take from 20-40 minutes.

I asked where I look in the registry and what I look for and was told that I would not be given that information. I was told that it is really difficult to detect because it is changing depending on what it is infecting.

My first scan indicates that the problem is a high risk and a second scan indicates a low risk.

The first scan (high risk) tells me that the problem file can’t be submitted manually and the second scan (low risk) indicates that the file was automatically sent in to Symantec.

All ideas are welcome. I don’t know if I’m sitting on a time bomb or not.
