Blue Screen in Windows NT 4

I have been researching an issue regarding a user who has a parallel zip drive installed on Win NT4. The problem is that whenever she restarts her machine, upon bootup, she gets a blue screen which gives her the error:
IRQL_NOT_LESS OR EQUAL XXX 8000768e.

Now after receiving the blue screen, she resets the machine and uses the ‘last known good boot’ and the system is fine with the zip drive mounted in the ‘my computer’. I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar to this?
