Boot Disk Problem / Floppy

by supz . Updated 23 years, 4 months ago

Hiya. I have a IBM 486 cpu that is from 1990 that I am entirely rebuilding. I am going to install Manderin Linux 8.1 on it. When running dos to set up the OS, It asks to insert a boot disk into the Floppy Drive. I had 2 floppy disks sitting on my bed. One with Win98 config files to fix my one computer, and one with the Manderin 8.1 boot disk. By mistake, i put in the one with the win98 files, and as the software is not set up properly, it will not let me eject this disk from the A drive. It recognises that the disk is not a boot disk of any OS, but I can’t eject it. What should I do? Should I take out the A drive from the CPU and disassemble it, or switch it with an A drive from another machine I have and eject it from there…I’m not surewhat exactly I can do to get the darn disk out. Thanks, I await a hopeful reply.
