Boot disk won’t recognize CDROM

by mopdyke . Updated 23 years ago

I made a boot disk through the control panel on a 98SE
machine. It has a Matshita CDROM CR563 with an MKE
Panasonic CDROM controller.
When I boot off the floppy, the process hangs at finding the
CD and comes back with ‘No drives found, aborting
installation’.
If I boot into windows, the Cd works fine.
