BOOTCFG NOT SCANNING

hi when i try to boot up XP i get to the windows loading page then an error screen saying ” autochk skipping autocheck then it reboots on the recovery console i ran bootcfg scan it said error coudn’t scan disks disk maybe corrupt try chkdsk idid this whith the /r i found some errors and fixed them but the same thing happens when i reboot again i can’t even boot in safe mode maybe a virus i tried to reinstall xp and try and recover from the second recovery but it will not let me do that help thx
