I need the best solution for networking a new branch office. The home office consist 2 W2K3 servers with 65-70 full time staff.
W2K3 server(DC,DNS,DHCP,File Server)
W2K3 server(DC and Exhange Server 2K3)
The branch office is 300 miles away from the home office and will consist of (2) people initially with expected growth to (10) people by the end of 2007.
My initial thought was using a hosting OS such as Citrix Metaframe or Terminal server. But come to find out one of our critical business apps isn’t supported on hosted OS’s.
My next thought is to install a win2k3 server there to server as a DC w/GC to handle logon and AD searches and access for that office.
I know I need a good connection between the branch office DC and the home office DC. (Dedicate leased line….T1?)
Would VPN be an option?
Any suggestions or recommedations on any of this?
