I KNOW BETTER THAN TO GO WITH A STANDARD ANSWER OF “TIME TO REFORMAT AND START FROM SCRATCH” — THERE’S ALWAYS A SOLUTION.
I use AOL 5.0, Netscape 4.7x and MSIE 5.01 — until just recently all three worked well together. I am running Windows 98(I purchased the upgrade version, not the full install). I’ve also complete the recommended Critical Updates. Now anytime I access Netscape or MSIE I get memory IPF errors (and the program crashes), though AOL’s browser works fine. With MSIE and Netscape, usually the first page loads fine and then crashes. Everything else works fine as well. I also prefer using Netscape as my primary browser. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled all three and still get the same results. I also reinstalled Win98. I’ve also tried falling back to Netscape 4.08 with no luck. I’ve also used the FullSoft bug fix on Netscape and that didn’t help either. I’m running on kernel KERNEL32.DLL version 4.10.2222 (I also tried running with the previous rev of KERNEL v1998).
