When I click on the name of my domain in windows explorer, I receive the following message (winXP):
‘No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept’
I am only trying to view a list of the computers in the domain. Now please don’t go off on one explaining about licensing restrictions.
The network has one SBS2003 server. Nothing complicated. In per server licensing mode with 25CALs. There are less than 25 machines on the network.
Note that the message is received when trying to browse the DOMAIN, where you would not expect to see this message under any circumstances.
The problem is experienced on all clients, under 98 I receive the message ‘unable to browse the network. the network is not accessible’ when I click on Entire Network.
The clients however can do everything else without problem. It is possible to browse directly to a machine (\\COMPUTERNAME), access file and print shares, use administrative tools, etc.
Please help. I know this is NOT a licensing issue. In fact I would be grateful to hear comments from anyone else using SBS2003, particularly if you have experienced the same issue.
Many Thanks
