building my first PC..motherbroad connections

I am building a PC from scrap. I have a elitgroup P4M890T motherbroad installed in an Ultra Grid ATX mid-tower PC case.
The front panel connections are giving me problems. The wires are marked different then what is shown in the motherbroad manual. ideas?
