Cabling & Network design info. needed ?

Good Day everyone,

I’m a novice in the network world, and want to learn few things from professionals like you people.

Where can I find info. on network design, that describes detailed info. on cabling and equipment used, i.e. what type of cable is used in a T1 connection, what are CSU/DSU units ?…etc.
