Cabling Standards

by fishingforbasses . Updated 16 years, 9 months ago

I passed my A+ and Net+ exams. Now I’m headed for my CCNA, Server+ and Administrating XP. Now, I blew off memorizing the Cabling Standards, and by Gods good graces I managed to pass my previous exams. Now I know I wouldn’t be doing myself a favor not learning these, but I’m having trouble memorizing these. Does anyone here have a few good tricks to memorize these standards? I know for example:

100BaseT means 100 Mbps baseband transmission w/ twisted pair cabling, but I have trouble figuing out the differences between CX TX T etc and cable lengths.

Any ideas?
